Our chamber members are leaders of the pack.

We have been a member of the Portage County Business Council for over 27 years. It has been vital in growing our business. It’s a great way to connect with over 500 other businesses.  PCBC offers the right tools to help businesses of all sizes to be successful — from networking opportunities, to learning and employee development, to events and sponsorships to showcase your organization. The key for anyone is to get involved!

Join the Portage County Business Council’s membership of nearly 500 strong and discover great opportunities to connect with future customers and partners. Over 90 programs and events annually are designed to help strengthen your business by targeting relevant issues and provide options that focus on your needs. The PCBC’s online directory with your website link along with advertising and sponsorship opportunities ensure your business is promoted in the community and beyond.

PCBC offers marketing opportunities through events and the Business Council’s printed and online communication tools. PCBC advocacy and our Legislative Committee provide the membership with a strong, unified voice on local, regional and national issues that have an impact on area businesses. The PCBC makes it a point to collaborate with business, education, community and government leaders to get results.

Portage County Business Council Events

American Agriculture Appreciation Banquet
Supports the successes of agri-business in Portage County. Awards and scholarships are made to students and leaders in the community.

Ag Tour
Tours of local agri-business. Event includes lunch, bus transportation, guest speaker, education and networking.

Annual Dinner
A silent auction and evening of dining, socializing and awards presented to leaders in the community.

Business After Hours
Monthly social event hosted by a different PCBC member to showcase their place of business and provide business professionals an opportunity to network. Complimentary for all member businesses and their employees.

Business on the Green
Golfing and networking with customers, employees and other Portage County businesses.

Business X-Change
Roundtable meetings provide opportunities for small business owners and their employees to learn from each other. Complimentary for all member businesses and their employees.

Creative Excellence Awards Breakfast 
Annual celebration of small business success across Portage County with awards presented to PCBC members.

Job Fair
Job seekers, anyone contemplating self-employment, and those in search of career development opportunities. Both part-time and full-time positions are available covering all skill levels. Various sponsorship levels available.

Wines of the World
Great networking with an international sampling of over 100 wines, fine cuisine, specialty beer bars, silent auction, and live jazz music.

Women in Business
Event features a keynote speaker, lunch and opportunities for women to network.
