The Energy Fair

By Portage County Business Council

MREA has announced that the 2021 Energy Fair will be cancelled. But they will be bringing people together for an in-person celebration of MREA Members on Junes 26th!

With the uncertainties surrounding COVID-19,  MREA is not confident in their ability to plan a successful and safe Energy Fair for guests and the community. While considering the health and well-being of staff, volunteers, and their families, MREA will not be hosting thousands of visitors as typically is done in June. They are optimistic that they can still bring people together at their beautiful, outdoor site, so instead will have a celebration of their members on June 26th! A limited number of tickets will be available for advanced purchase. MREA will be in touch with active members with more details soon.

MREA is still working hard to offer a series of continuing education workshops for energy professionals, video interviews with leaders in the clean energy transition, and resources to help home and business owners implement wise energy saving strategies and make the most of the technologies and innovations powering the advanced energy economy.

The cancellation also gives MREA a long runway to plan for next year’s Energy Fair on June 24-26, 2022!

Despite the uncertainty and economic woes of the past year, the energy transition is accelerating. They are seeing widespread adoption of technologies and innovations that will help transition our energy investments, electrify our transportation system, and give all of us the opportunity to invest in and benefit from a local energy future. Everyone at MREA and in the community will miss the big and vibrant event this year, but will be working to bring you the best that the Midwest has to offer in 2022.
