Stevens Point Ranks High for Solar-Powered Homes

Stevens Point has been nationally recognized by LendEDU for having one of the highest percentages of solar-powered homes in Wisconsin and the country. Cities were ranked according to their percentage of solar-powered homes relative to their total number of homes. A city had to have a minimum of 1,500 housing units to be considered for the ranking, which left 10,974 cities in the U.S. All cities included in the ranking had at least one solar-powered home.

Stevens Point has 46 solar-powered homes out of 16,320 total housing units, which means 0.28% of the homes in Stevens Point are solar-powered and more eco-friendly.

The high percentage in Stevens Point ranked #5 out of 69 in the state of Wisconsin and #1,068 in the country.
