The New Year’s Resolution to become a less materialistic person lasted, well, about three and a half days.
Probably should have known. But honestly, as I went through my annual self-assessment process in late 2015, I did a quick check of my need list, then performed a cursory inventory of the junk I own, and I found that I already possess everything required to live a healthy, happy and successful modern life. Not only that, I have piles of crap that aren’t really necessary at all. That stuff sometimes makes life more interesting or fun, but mostly I just have to clean it and move it from place to place.
