Committee Information

Ignite has three main event planning committees – Career, Community, Connect and support committees – Marketing and the Executive Committee. We also like to compile a YP Week Committee that plans events for YP Week every April.

The Career Committee is focused on professional development events. A typical annual event line up for the Career Committee includes: Bite with Ignite Events, Professional Development Events and Workshops.


The Community Committee is focused on volunteerism and community-focused events. Annual events include: Adopt-A-Highway Cleanup and Midwest Renewable Energy Fair Volunteer Bartending.


The Connect Committee is focused on personal development and casual get-togethers. Typical annual events include: Backstage Passes, Mix ‘n Mingles, Ignite Anniversary Party and Holiday Party.


The Marketing Committee is led by the Marketing Manager and  is limited to five members to ensure brand consistency. The committee meets to discuss social media, event boosting, and event awareness.

Executive Committee 

The Executive Committee includes the current President, PCBC liaison, Marketing Manager, Membership Manager and Secretary. The Executive Committee meets to discuss administrative/non-event related items and brings all action items back to the full board. Any decisions will be made by the entire board.
