My daughter loves asparagus. No, she isn’t the healthiest eater in the world—she is a scientist. A few weeks back my son and daughter were playing with a chemistry set ‘Santa’ brought them for Christmas and they were conducting ‘experiments’. Only, my five year old daughter mispronounced the word as ‘asparagus’ and a family joke was born.
Given the little scientists in my house these days the report released by the U.S. Department of Commerce, Economics and Statistics Administration (ESA) last month entitled “Women in STEM: A Gender Gap to Innovation” peaked my interest.
