Ellis Construction today announced a succession plan and new shareholders, which will solidify leadership of the Company for many years to come. After over 45 years with Ellis Construction as an executive and co-owner, Jim Anderson will transition to the role of Chairman of the Board of Ellis Construction; transferring percentages of ownership in the company to several new shareholders.
As part of this transition, Erik C. Carlson will assume the role of President of Ellis Construction, continuing an 85 year history of Carlson family involvement in the leadership of Ellis. Additionally, Andrew J. Halverson, Patrick H. Pierce, Timothy D. Kreft, Brandon J. Kohls and Stephen D. Chizzo will take on new roles as shareholders of Ellis Construction with Carlson and Anderson. Halverson will serve as Executive Vice President, Pierce will become Director of Project Management, Kreft will serve as General Superintendent, Kohls will serve as Director of Estimating, and Chizzo will take on the role of Director of Architectural Services.

It continues so many great traditions of craftsmanship and client commitment, while solidifying the future of this great company with a variety of core skillsets.” “When my father and Helge Carlson started this company during the height of the great depression, hard work and dedication were at the core of their success.” Anderson added. “It is excellent to see that all of those traits are alive and well in the new generation of ownership we announce today.” Anderson said.
