Gearing up to Improve the Lives of Local Youth
On Saturday, August 3, the Boys & Girls Club of Portage County will host its 11th annual Bike for Boys & Girls Club event, starting and ending at AIG Travel.
This year’s Bike for Boys & Girls Club event is presented by Len Dudas Motors, NRG Media, and News Channel 7. To register for the event, visit www.bgclubpc.org/bike4bgc. With your registration, you will receive a bag of goodies, including an event t-shirt, sunglasses, water bottle, and lunch. Portesi’s and Subway are sponsoring lunch at no additional cost to participants.
After the ride, participants will enjoy a family-friendly afterparty. Yard games, inflatables, and face painting are just some of the things you can expect at the finish line. Free ice cream will be provided to end the event on a sweet note.
From training wheels to racing bikes, this event is designed to cater to all ages and abilities. Gather your family and friends and pick between the 4, 8, 13, 20, and 60 mile routes. Gear up to improve the lives of over 2,000 local youth who walk through the doors of Boys & Girls Club each year.
The Bike for Boys & Girls Club event is a fundraiser for the Boys & Girls Club of Portage County, an organization whose sole purpose is to give youth in Portage County a safe and fun place where they can get active, learn, grow and make new friends. With the community’s participation, the Club can continue improving the lives of local youth and continue to open doors for the future leaders of Portage County.
