What is the most rewarding professional or student experience you have had?

There are too many to count when you are working around so many awesome people but I would have to say my UWSP student study abroad experience was life changing in countless ways. As a result of the UWSP program I ended up being able to explore over 25 countries over two years and met so many amazing people and personalities. That kind of experience is priceless!

What is something you hope to accomplish in the next year?

I hope to be able to expand my PynPoints Mobile App to over 100 local businesses and acquire 10,000 user downloads locally.

Why did you get involved with Ignite?

Organizations like Ignite are necessary to facilitate personal and professional growth by way of social networking, learning events, and open forum discussion and Ignite does exactly that. I love the topics that Ignite focuses on and how frequent they have events that are both fun and relevant to up-and-coming professionals and entrepreneurs. Ignite is just cool!

What advice would you give to other young professionals looking to make their mark?

Three things: Listen more than you talk-unless you are center stage, avoid being “judgey” unless you are a judge,” and don’t forget that success requires hard work and luck so quit searching for a work around.

Do you volunteer or belong to other organizations?

I volunteer for many local organizations as needed. I do not have a specific one that I work with exclusively but over the past 10 years I have delivered food, donated food, sorted food, coached soccer, handed out water to racers, rang bells, knocked on doors, counted pencils and erasers, and raked some rather large yards.

What is a little-known fact about yourself?

I love to work on cars!! I have never taken my car a mechanic to date and it is a point of pride for me. Most people don’t peg me for a guy that can rip apart the entire front end of a car’s suspension and steering system and put it back together.
